Dennis CeruDennis Ceru, Ph.D., Strategy and Business Growth Specialist

Dennis is an entrepreneur and business leader with more than 30 years of experience delivering innovative business solutions through leadership and management positions in the financial services, high-tech, and life sciences fields.  He started, led and grew a successful technology and consulting business focused on the financial services industry and is a recognized speaker and author on key topics in strategy and technology and has been quoted extensively online and in print periodicals.

He has mentored many senior executives to deliver strategy-driven organizational change, and has developed and delivered business growth acceleration training programs, management vision workshops, and leadership and team development programs. He created and leads The Strategic Advisory Group and The CEOs Group, two new and innovative executive leadership development programs for growing venture-backed entrepreneurial companies.

Dennis is an Adjunct Professor at Babson College where he teaches MBA courses in entrepreneurship and business strategy. Dennis also conducts numerous executive seminars and both corporate and academic training programs worldwide. He earned a Doctorate in psychology and education from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and biology from Boston University.

Paul Horn specializes in business communication and leadership skills. For the past 20 years he has helped individuals and teams in a wide range of industries meet a variety of communication challenges, including: sales and technical presentations, coaching strategies, customer service training, business plan presentations, media interviews, networking skills, keynote speeches and meeting facilitation.

Paul’s clients have included consumer product companies like Johnson and Johnson and TJ Maxx, financial organizations like Fidelity Investments and Sun Financial, engineering/construction companies like AECOM and Parsons Brinckerhoff, non-profit organizations like Oxfam and the Boys and Girls Club, plus many smaller organizations.

As a college instructor, Paul has worked for the past 10 years with both undergraduate and MBA students at Babson College where he has also helped expand the college’s Speech Resource Center.  He has also taught at Brandeis University, Boston University, and Northeastern University (specifically at its Executive Education Center).  For the past 8 years, Paul has coached the finalists in the Annual Business Plan Competition at BU’s Institute of Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization (ITEC).

Paul earned his Bachelor’s degree at the University of California at Berkeley and his MBA from the Boston University School of Management.


Lisa Murray, Media and Public Relations Specialist

Lisa Murray is a communications and media relations strategist with over 20 years of experience. She specializes in creating sustainable brands for executives, experts, and entrepreneurs. She has developed marketing communications campaigns for an array of professional service and technology companies in the legal, accounting, healthcare, life science, energy, and emerging technology industries.

With both corporate and agency experience, Lisa’s background spans
 international brand building, reputation management, competitive strategy, corporate communications, media relations and coaching, social media, product/practice launches, event planning, crisis counsel, and advertising. Her strategic counsel and program management have helped clients to build brand awareness, avoid/withstand PR crises, capture market share, drive sales leads, raise venture capital and prepare for divestitures and acquisitions.

Lisa’s areas of expertise include: brand awareness, media coaching, media and analyst relations, crisis communication, speech writing, press release development and media research.


SuzanneOtteSuzanne Otte, Marketing and Communications Specialist

Suzanne Otte is a marketing and communications strategist with management experience spanning industry sectors, including higher education, consumer packaged goods, retail, and nonprofit. Her expertise adds value to organizations by articulating messages that engage audiences and boost brand equity. Suzanne has led multi-faceted teams and guided the development and execution of print and online content, website design and upgrades, public relations campaigns, advertising and media planning, video production, social media, promotional events, community relations, and internal/ corporate communications.

Her work has contributed to the marketing and communications outcomes of Boston University, Welch’s, and Laura Ashley. Recent projects include a focus on online program strategy and course facilitation, organizational communications, training, and coaching. Suzanne holds an MBA from Boston University and an MS in Communications Management from Simmons College


Raul Medina, Manager of Hispanic Engagement

Raul Medina’s background includes leading business development, events, social media and promotions for El Planeta Newspaper, the largest circulating Spanish language newspaper in New England. He is responsible for the Health and Family Annual multicultural health and wellness Expo – the largest Hispanic-American event of its type and oversees business development for the only bilingual wellness magazine in New England, Health & Family, with a readership of over 100,000.

Raul has done extensive market research within the Hispanic community in New England and collaborated with Beth on a project focused on the specific needs of Hispanic consumers in New England. He has worked as an international consultant assisting organizations to expand into the US, Mexico and Central America. Raul also worked with Softtek Integration Systems, GE Capital, and started his career with Anixter a Fortune 200 leading global supplier of communications, security, electrical and electronic wire and cable.

Raul is President Emeritus of the Boston chapter of the National Society of Hispanic MBA’s (NSHMBA). 
He serves on the boards of the AIDS Action Committee (AAC), the New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA) and the Boston Center for Community and Justice (BCCJ).


Susan Sullivan, Marketing Research and Customer Discovery Specialist
Susan has a diverse background in product and technical marketing as well as system development. She has developed tactical marketing programs for a number of clients in industries ranging from security to retail and professional services.

Susan’s experience features working at various startups including CMGI, Engage Technologies, and Sonexis. In these roles she was responsible for all aspects of product marketing, from product design to product launch and even launched an acquired product in less than 90 days. Susan has also worked as a management consultant with clients such as AT&T, US Customs, Internal Revenue Service, Arch Communications and Motorola.

Susan holds a BA in Information & Decision Systems and Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA in Marketing from George Washington University.
